Ladakh Circuit Package

  • The Caucasus Mountains are a mountain range at the intersection of Asia and Europe

Overview

This 8-day, 7-night Ladakh itinerary is an intensive high-altitude circuit designed to cover the region’s main highlights and its two most spectacular lakes, balancing exploration with essential safety measures. The journey begins with two dedicated nights in Leh to ensure proper acclimatization to the 11,500 ft altitude, featuring local sightseeing like the Magnetic Hill and the iconic Shanti Stupa sunset. The adventure then ascends on Day 3 by conquering the world-famous Khardung La Pass to reach Nubra Valley, where travellers spend two nights. The time in Nubra includes experiencing the unique double-humped camel ride and an essential day excursion to Turtuk, the historic village near the Line of Control, renowned for its distinct Balti heritage.

The middle segment of the trip is dedicated to Ladakh’s stunning lake topography. Day 5 involves a drive across the high desert to the mesmerizing Pangong Tso (Blue Lake) for an overnight camp stay. This is immediately followed by the more challenging and remote drive on Day 6 to Tso Moriri, a less-visited, pristine lake in the Changthang region, offering a deeper sense of isolation and high-altitude wilderness. The final leg returns to Leh on Day 7, typically crossing the high Tanglang La Pass, allowing a final stop at architectural wonders like Thiksey Monastery. The successful completion of this itinerary provides a full spectrum of Ladakh’s cultural, geographical, and spiritual landscape before the departure on Day 8.
