Overview

The Valley of Flowers Trek is a mesmerizing journey into one of India’s most stunning UNESCO
World Heritage Sites, nestled in the heart of the Western Himalayas in Uttrakhand. This six
day adventure offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, spiritual ambience, and alpine adventure,
making it ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and trekking enthusiasts alike.

Starting from the base town of Rishikesh, the itinerary includes a scenic drive through
Devprayag, Joshimath, and Govindghat, leading to the quaint village of Ghangaria—the gateway to
the valley. The actual trek to the Valley of Flowers unfolds a dreamlike landscape blanketed with
over 600 species of vibrant alpine flowers, set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks and
cascading waterfalls. The biodiversity here is breathtaking, with rare Himalayan flora and
occasional sightings of animals like the blue sheep and Himalayan monal.

The itinerary also includes a spiritually uplifting hike to Shri Hemkund Sahib, the highest
Gurudwara in the world at 4,329 meters. With well-planned acclimatization, nutritious meals,

How to Reach

The start point will be from Rishikesh, Uttrakhand. We’ll share the pickup
details prior to your arrival.

Nearest Airport: Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is the closest airport. Which is 20 km from
Rishikesh.

Nearest Railway Station: Rishikesh railway station is the nearest railway station but Haridwar
is well connected to the rail network that connects to major cities of India.

By Road: Rishikesh is well connected with national capital Delhi through highway. Delhi is 251km
from Rishikesh. Book a cab to reach Rishikesh or overnight Volvo is most convenient mode of
travel to reach Rishikesh from Delhi.

Day 01 Rishikesh to Joshimath

*Pick up at 7:00 am, Natraj Chowk/Tapovan
*Drive Distance: 290 km | 8-9 hrs.
* Drive to Joshimath, a beautiful town in Chamoli district, Uttrakhand
* Spend the day exploring Joshimath, visit the famous temples like Narsimha temple
& Shankaracharya Math.
* Overnight Stay in hotel, followed by dinner.

Day 02 Joshimath to Poolna & Trek to Ghangaria

* We start drive from Joshimath to Govindghat by company transport and from
Govindghat to Poolna by local sharing taxi
*Drive Distance: 24 km
* Start trekking from Poolna to Ghangaria
*Trek Distance: 9 km
* The trek passes through picturesque landscapes alongside the roaring Alaknanda river.
* Overnight stay in homestay, followed by dinner

Day 03 Explore Valley of Flowers

Breakfast, trek to Valley of Flowers
* We’ll start our trek early in the morning from Ghangaria to Valley
of flowers and back to Ghangaria
* Trek Distance: 10 km (up & down)
* Overnight stay in homestay, followed by dinner

Includes: Breakfast, lunch, Guide, Dinner and Stay.

Day 04 Visit Hemkund Sahib

*Trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib
*Trek Distance: 12 km (up & down)
* We’ll start our trek early in the morning from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib
and back to Ghangaria
* Explore Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh pilgrimage site located beside a glacial lake.
* Overnight Stay in homestay, followed by dinner.

Includes: Breakfast, lunch, Guide, Dinner and Stay.

Day 05 Trek to Poolna (Govindghat) & Drive to Joshimath

* Start trekking from Ghangaria to Poolna
*Trek Distance: 9 km
* Drive to Govindghat to Joshimath. Relax and unwind in Joshimath
*Drive Distance: 24 km
* Overnight stay in hotel, followed by dinner

Includes: Breakfast, lunch, Guide, Dinner and Stay.

Day 06 Departure Day

*Today will be the last day
* Early morning after having tea/coffee will depart to Rishikesh
from Joshimath, concluding your valley of flowers adventure.
* Drop at Natraj Chowk/Tapovan

Includes: Tea/coffee, Taxi & Drop

  • Any expenses arising due to Bad Weather, Road Blockage, Strike, Lockdown, Bandh, Admin. Or Govt. Ban, Rain, Snowfall, Natural Calamity, Landslides, or any other reason beyond our control to be borne by Trekker/Tourist/Yatri on the spot.
