Kalindi<\/span>\u00a0Khal Trek is one of the most challenging himalayan trekking expeditions.\u00a0Kalindi<\/span>\u00a0Khal situated at 5,950 metres elevation connects two holy shrines Gangotri and Badrinath. This trekking is meant only for experienced high altitude trekkers.<\/p>\n

Swami Probodhanandawas, inspired by\u00a0John Bicknell Auden<\/a>, organized the\u00a0Kalindi<\/span>\u00a0Khal expedition and crossed the pass with Guide Dileep Singh on 22 July 1945.\u00a0Kalindi<\/span>\u00a0Khal Trek offers spectacular views of great himalayan peaks like Kamet 7756m, Abi Garmin 7355m, Mana 7272m, Mukut Parvat 7242m, Avalanche Peak and Tibetan plateau on the other side of Mana Pass.<\/p>\n

From the route, you will be able to see astonishing Mount Shivling & Mount Satopanth.<\/p>\n

During\u00a0Kalindi<\/span>\u00a0Khal Trekking Expedition trekkers need to rope up, which also necessitates the use of ice axes, crampons and other technical equipment. The Trek is mostly over the moraines and glaciers with deep crevasses and gives the ultimate opportunity to camp by some small glacial lakes. Trek starts from the holy place Gangotri and ends at Gastoli, which is close to Mana Pass. From Gastoli, drive to Badrinath. Rishikesh is 300 km, which takes 10-12 hours from Badrinath.<\/p>\n

Gangotri is the base village and trek starting point. Gangotri is 250km from Dehradun and 265 km from Rishikesh. Dehradun is well connected to all major cities of the country. Gangotri is spiritual place for Hindus and offers amazing trekking & mountaineering expeditions.<\/p>\n

Nearest Airport:<\/strong>\u00a0Joly Grant Airport, Dehradun is the nearest airport. Which is 20km from Rishikesh.<\/p>\n

Nearest Railway Station:<\/strong>\u00a0Rishikesh junction is the closest railway station.<\/p>\n

Road Connectivity:<\/strong>\u00a0Rishikesh is well connected with national capital Delhi through highway. Delhi is 251km from Rishikesh, 275 km from Dehradun. Booking a cab to reach Rishikesh\/Dehradun or overnight Volvo bus is the most convenient mode of travel to reach here from Delhi. You can take a shared cab to Uttarkashi.<\/p>\n
