The nearest Railway station is Jammu tawi (700 km from Ladakh) or Kalka (750 km, near Chandigarh).<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Road:<\/strong> There are two road routes to Leh \u2013 one through Manali in Himachal Pradesh and the second one through Srinagar. Leh is 434 km from Srinagar and 494 km from Manali. You can only travel to Ladakh by road between June to September as during the winter months the highways are shut due to heavy snowfalls.<\/p>\n<p>The quickest and simplest way to reach Ladakh is by air.<\/p>\n<p>The scenic flight from Delhi to Leh takes one and a half hours.
